Building Information Modeling (BIM) is reshaping how infrastructure gets planned and built. It is now standard in more than 40 countries, and in Switzerland it is a baseline expectation for quality and efficiency on any serious project.

At Axpo Grid, I built the vision and strategy to bring BIM and digital twins into our team of 400 stakeholders — asset managers, engineers, procurement and sales officers. In three years we repositioned ourselves in the market: first in Switzerland to build a high-voltage substation with 3D information models alone (no paper plans, no printing), with a new department launched, a team built overseas, and new commercial services on offer.
